“A perfect class for the times we are living in.” – 2021 Participant
Where can I start learning about shamanism?
Which course should I sign up for? There’s so many choices now.
I feel called to learn more about healing but I don’t know exactly what that means for me.
Can modern Western people be shamans? How do you tell who the real ones are?
If these questions have crossed your mind, join me for Shamanism 101, an accessible five-part course and intimate conversation. With weekly Zoom gatherings (which you can watch later) and thought-provoking emails PLUS bonus resources, you’ll have a smart and solid foundation to take with you— into a full shamanic healing course, into your existing work and spiritual practice, or simply as a stand-alone experience.
Not everyone is called to be a healer, but many of us are called “to recover our indigenous mind.” This is really at the heart of the experience of shamanism — beyond the misconceptions and marketing.
If you’re curious about what shamanism holds for you, join this unique circle for rich discussion, transformative practices, and like-minded community. (Read what people are saying below.)
This isn’t a training in “how to be a shaman”: it’s a no-nonsense conversation about shamanism’s relevance to us as modern people. You’ll get a healthy, grounded understanding of this path, and no questions are off-limits. It’s the course I wish I had taken before I committed to years of trainings.

PRAISE FOR SHAMANISM 101
This course opened the floodgates for me to finally understand shamanism and my own connections to the natural and Spirit worlds. Mikki’s ability to share her knowledge and experience of Shamanism is clear, real, and honoring. The community that was created in class was so rich and dynamic that we did not want it to end. If you are feeling drawn to Shamanism, I encourage you to learn with Mikki. ~Lindsay Mann, New York
I really enjoyed the course. It was the perfect class to get my feet wet with shamanism. I am looking forward to working with Mikki again. Hopefully in Shamanism 102! ~ Chris V. Pleasantville
Mikki is a caring, informative, approachable teacher and made this topic easy to understand, yet deep enough for people who have dabbled in shamanism. Highly recommended! ~ LM, Westwood, NJ
This was a great course with a great community. Each session was informative and insightful while also being supportive and grounding. A great introductory course that gives the right foundation to start asking yourself questions about what’s next and how to integrate. Five stars all the way! ~CG, United Kingdom
Mikki offers a grounded, pragmatic space to talk about some of the most problematic parts of shamanism, as well as constructive, respectful ways to continue in every day life. ~Tracy, Westwood, NJ
Mikki combines her depth of knowledge and experience with her warmth and sense of fun to create a wonderful, safe, and open space. Joining this group has been a deeply meaningful experience for me. ~Participant
